Position

CDL Box Truck Driver – Windows, Doors, & Millwork

Summary

The Box Truck Driver is responsible for the transportation of windows, doors, and millwork from the warehouse to its final destination in a timely and safe manner. This job can be strenuous and requires heavy lifting at times.

Responsibilities

  • The Box Truck Driver will load and unload windows, doors, and millwork onto box truck.

  • The Box Truck Driver will operate equipment in warehouse to ensure safe loading of box truck.

  • The Box Truck Driver will safely secure the materials in the box truck for delivery.

  • The Box Truck Driver must drive vehicle and operate equipment in a safe manner.

  • The Box Truck Driver will fuel Truck, schedule maintenance and cleaning, trip inspections, and other routine DOT paperwork.

  • The Box Truck Driver will perform maintenance inspection prior to making deliveries.

  • The Box Truck Driver will comply with all DOT safety rules and procedures.

     

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma

  • Experience in lumber or construction industry.

  • Must have a Clean Driving Record.

  • Must have a clean valid Class A or B CDL from his or her state of residence.

  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.

  • Must be able to safely operate equipment in all types of weather conditions.

  • Must be knowledgeable of FMCSA regulations.

  • Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time. In addition, must be able to kneel, walk, bend, push, pull and reach.

Knowledge & Skill Requirements:

  • MOFFETT Experience preferred

  • Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively.

  • Safely operate forklift and commercial vehicles.

  • Must maintain required logbooks.

  • Must keep a mileage log throughout the day and use the company provided radio or phone to contact dispatch of delivery completion.

  • Qualifications (Preferred):

    – Driving: 1 year
    – CDL
    – US work authorization
