Position

Paint Manager

Summary

We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented, and customer-centric Paint Manager. Ideally, this candidate has experience in the paint industry, either previously supporting a paint department at a home center or working in retail floor sales at a paint store. In addition, he/she will be responsible developing inside sales and outside sales, creating long term relationships with painting contractors. Assist customers with all of their shopping needs including assisting customers in the selection, demonstration, and loading of merchandise.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • We are looking for candidates with the following experience and/or willingness to learn:

  • Prior work servicing retail and wholesale customers

  • Sales oriented and understanding of basic merchandising principles
  • Development of outside sales, contractor sales.

  • Prior knowledge of paint industry; understanding of tinting and mixing paint products

  • Understands customer needs and how to present products

  • Ability to stock shelves and set planograms

  • Willingness to greet customers anywhere in store
  • General knowledge of hardware store, building materials
  • Execution of daily operational duties of store including opening and closing
  • Ability to be a key holder and work as Manager on Duty
  • Able to lift 40+ lbs

Qualifications and Skills

  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in Paint retail environment

  • Customer service skills

  • This candidate will need to have availability to work weekends, but no evenings.
